Note on the Blue Angels - after starting up the 6 planes (tail numbers 1 through 6), Plane 4 had a mechanical issue…the mechanic's truck drove up to the front of the plane. In just 10 minutes, they changed out the Heads Up Display Avionics in the top section of the control panel. The problem did not resolve. So the pilot was driven off in the mechanics truck at high speed. They had a back up plane, tail number 7. It was a two seater.
